Desktop Virtualization from LG

Lets face it, today’s PCs are so powerful that most people only use a fraction of the processing power. By “virtualizing” the desktop PC, LG Network Monitors enable many users to share a single PC. It’s a breakthrough in affordable computing backed by one of the world’s leading electronics companies.

LG Network Monitors enable a single PC to be shared by up to 11 students or staff at the same time. The solution has three components: LG Network Monitors, a host desktop PC, and a PCI-card kit. LG Network Monitors come in several screen sizes and dimensions. The host PC can be almost any recent PC (click for minimum specifications).
The PCI-card kit is sold separately and was exclusively designed by NComputing for the LG Network Monitors.

Set up is easy. First, the PCI-card and virtualization software is installed on the host PC. Second, the Network Monitors are connected to the PCI card via standard Cat5/6 LAN cables (up to 10 meters/30 feet). Finally, the user’s peripherals (keyboard, mouse, audio) are connected directly to the ports on the back of the Network Monitor. Each user gets their own computing session and settings. Files are securely managed by the software. Its that simple. An 11-user system can be set up in just a few hours.

Each PCI-card can connect up to 5 Network Monitors. Including the host PC user, that’s six total users (Diagram A). Add another PCI-card and can connect another 5 Network Monitors for a total of 11 users from a single PC! (Diagram B)

LG Network Monitors can be used in office, schools, colleges, government, call centers or almost any other location where affordable, simple computing access is needed.
